My commitment to improving the medicolegal death investigation system began after the tragic homicide of my father in 2004. Initially, his death was nearly ruled a suicide by an untrained and uncertified coroner, which would have prevented a proper investigation. That experience shaped my career and motivated me to dedicate thousands of hours toward strengthening professional standards and ensuring families receive accurate answers and thorough investigations.

I am running for reelection to continue building a professional, accountable, and sustainable coroner system that serves both families and the justice system with consistency, compassion, and expertise. My focus remains on strengthening training, expanding regional collaboration, and ensuring every investigation meets recognized national standards.
